Romeo and Juliet
To begin with the beginning we can meet numerous creations which became reputable on the stage, then they are published in book plus films appeared. Shakespeare, living is the 16th century in Great Britain, wrote maybe the most dramas becoming worldwide famous. His comedies and tragedies are played in several theatres nowadays, too. One of his most weel-known dramas is Romeo and Juliet’s story, which was written up many times. It appeared in musical, ballet, films and book.
The story was the following: Two families living in Verona got on badly with each other. Romeo belonged to one of the families and Juliet was the member of the other family. They met in a party and fell in love with each other. The romance happened in secret, because if somebody had uncovered it, it would have had fatal consecuences. Once, during a row accidentally Juliet’s relative, Tybalt assisinated Romeo’s friend. For this reason Romeo murdered Tybalt; for this reason he was banished.
After a time the couple would love to meet each other. Juliet took false poison to seem dead and could run away with Romeo. Therefore she sent a letter to her lover which she wrote in her plan. The film which was made about the story, was directed by Zeffirelli. It had a hit song which was sang by Donovan. We could find differences between the book and the film. The movie showed rather the main scene, since desriptions are dominated in the book.
In my wiev it is a fantastic story. I am under the impression that Shakespeare owned marvellous ideas and I would say that he was pretty talented. As far as I am concerned I saw the film and read the book, but it ws enough to love the story.
