Holidays
The meaning of holiday has changed for ages. A long time ago holiday used to mean simply a day, when people did not have to work. In the ancient times slaves never had holiday, but most days of lords were vacation. The situation changed hardly for a long time. For the working class and the peasantry had a break-day on Sundays. This time they oraganised meetings, entertainments or dances. There is a huge difference between the not so far past and the present. Our grandparents did not have facility to travel, just to neighbouring countries, mainly because the did not possess enough money.
Now tourists travel to all parts of the word. Most people go on holiday for a few days or some weeks. Maybe visiting one country a day is not your idea of the best way to see the world. A lot of countrymen travelled through Europe before learning anything about their own country. Everybody wants to trip to popular places like Greece, Italy, Croatia, Turkey, Hawaii etc. and do not seek Hungarian places.
The poor spend their free time at home and they enjoy that the do not have to work. Common people trip to inland or sometimes to neighbouring countries, though it is funny that an inland travel turns out to be much more expensive than a journey to a near beach. Only richers can afford themselves to go to far famous resorts and exotic countries. If you want to go on holiday, you will need : money, passport, plans, time, injections, knowing foreign languages, some information of the country, weather conditions.
As far ar I am concerned, I love vacation, as well, like many other people. I travel with my family mainly to beches in all summers, so I will be richer with new experiences in every year.
